Last Updated: 24 April 2026
1. Purpose
This policy explains the responsibilities of parents, students, and New Grasp Academy to ensure safety, discipline, and the best possible benefit from online lessons.
2. Before the Lesson
Parents must ensure the following:
The student joins from a laptop or tablet. If these are not available, a mobile phone may be used; however, the Academy does not guarantee connection stability.
The student must wear appropriate clothes similar to going-out clothes. Pyjamas, sleeveless, short, or tight clothing are not allowed.
The student must sit at a desk or table, not on a bed.
All required items should be prepared nearby, such as water, tissues, a pen, and a notebook.
The student should log in 5 minutes before the lesson to test the microphone, camera, and internet connection.
The child should go to the bathroom before the lesson so they are comfortable.
The Academy is not responsible for missed or shortened lessons caused by poor internet connection on the student’s side.
3. During the Lesson
Parents must ensure the following:
There should be no background noise, such as television, radio, pets, etc. If the disturbance continues, the microphone may be muted, and the student may not be able to participate fully.
Chewing gum is not allowed.
Makeup or cosmetic products are not allowed.
The student must behave respectfully and participate actively.
4. After the Lesson
Parents must ensure that homework is submitted on time.
5. Child Protection
New Grasp Academy provides a safe environment free from abuse, bullying, or harassment.
Recording lessons, taking photos or screenshots, or sharing lesson content without written permission from the Academy is prohibited.
Teachers are not allowed to communicate with students outside the Academy’s official channels.
6. Children’s Privacy
The student’s data, such as name, age, and any recordings or media kept by the Academy, is stored confidentially and is only used for educational, training, quality assurance purposes, or according to the permissions granted by the parent or legal guardian.
The parent or legal guardian may choose to grant or refuse permission to use photos for marketing purposes through the designated consent form.
The parent or legal guardian may withdraw consent for future uses. However, this does not affect any materials that were already produced or published based on valid consent before the withdrawal date.
7. Teacher Assignment
The Academy assigns teachers according to the student’s schedule and educational needs.
The Academy reserves the right to change the teacher when necessary, such as due to teacher availability, quality improvement, or schedule balance.
The parent or legal guardian will be notified of any change, and this will not affect the number of lessons or the student’s rights.
8. Parental Supervision
It is preferred that the parent or legal guardian remains near the child, especially for younger students.
The Academy is not responsible if the child is left without supervision.
The lesson will not continue if the child is left completely unattended, for safety reasons.
9. Safe Use of Technology
Safe and effective devices with a working camera and microphone must be used.
The parent or legal guardian is responsible for providing a safe internet connection.
The student is allowed to join from one device only. Logging in from multiple devices at the same time is prohibited.
For the comfort and privacy of teachers:
If the teacher is female, only the mother is allowed to be present.
If the teacher is male, the present parent must be the father.
This rule must always be followed unless the Academy grants a written exception.
10. Appearance and Dress Code
The student must attend the lesson wearing neat and appropriate clothing. Pyjamas, sleeveless, short, or tight clothing are not allowed.
The student’s hair must be tidy, and their overall appearance must be appropriate and respectful.
If the appearance rules are not followed after a warning, the Academy has the right to stop the lesson, and the lesson may be counted as part of the programme without compensation or refund.
11. Academy Disclaimer
The Academy is not responsible for any recordings, photos, or videos taken by parents or students without permission.
The Academy is not responsible for the sharing of students’ data or photos by parents or external parties.
The parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising the child’s use of technology and data outside the Academy’s platform.
