Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 24 April 2026

Welcome to New Grasp Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Academy”). By using our website, www.newgrasp.com, or any of our services, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

For contact:
📧 parentcare@newgrasp.com

1. Introduction

New Grasp Academy provides live online English lessons for children aged 4 to 13 who are learning English as a foreign language. These Terms govern your use of our website and the educational services provided by the Academy.

2. Eligibility

By using the website or services, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

You are registering on behalf of a child aged between 4 and 13, and you are the child’s parent or legal guardian.

You agree that children are not permitted to create or manage accounts by themselves. All accounts must be created and managed by the parent or legal guardian.

3. Services

New Grasp Academy provides the following:

Live online English lessons delivered by qualified teachers.

Educational programmes suitable for children and built according to clear learning levels.

Free or paid trial lessons to assess the child’s level and suitability for the service.

Educational follow-up and reports depending on the type of programme or subscription.

The Academy reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of its services when necessary, while respecting the rights of enrolled students in accordance with the published policies.

4. Registration and Account Responsibility

To access our services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for:

Keeping login details confidential.

Updating contact information when it changes.

Informing the Academy immediately of any unauthorised use of the account.

The Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account in case of any violation of these Terms or misuse of the services.

5. Payment and Booking Confirmation

Subscription fees must be paid in advance through the payment methods available at the Academy.

The subscription and lesson bookings are only confirmed after successful payment.

No lesson may be attended before payment is completed.

Completing payment is considered full acceptance of the Academy’s Terms and Conditions and policies.

Prices are displayed in USD. For payments made inside Egypt, the amount may be paid in Egyptian Pounds equivalent to the USD price according to the official Central Bank of Egypt exchange rate on the payment date, unless otherwise stated.

In case of late payment of any due amounts, the Academy has the right to suspend the service, cancel the booking, or terminate the subscription.

6. Subscription Duration and Use of Lessons

Lessons are provided within a fixed subscription period according to the selected package, such as one month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.

Lessons are linked to the subscription duration, not only to the number of lessons.

All lessons expire at the end of the subscription period, whether they have been used or not.

No lesson may be used after the subscription period ends under any circumstances.

Unused lessons cannot be carried over or transferred to any future subscription period.

Failure to start lessons or select lesson times does not pause or extend the subscription period, and does not affect the calculation of the subscription duration or refund period.

7. Scheduling and Commitment

Lesson times are selected only from the available times provided by the Academy.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for choosing lesson times and committing to them.

If lesson times are not selected, or if the available times are rejected, the subscription period will continue without any adjustment or extension.

8. Official Academy Holidays

If New Grasp Academy announces an official Academy holiday, such as Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha, lessons will be paused during the holiday period.

The subscription period will be extended only by the number of officially announced holiday days.

Holiday days are not compensated with extra lessons or alternative lesson times.

The student will resume lessons after the holiday according to their regular schedule.

Official Academy holidays are not considered a reason for any refund, as the student’s right is preserved by extending the subscription period by the same number of holiday days.

The subscription will not be extended due to any personal holidays or circumstances related to the student or parent, except in the case of an approved freeze in accordance with the Freeze Policy.

9. Refund Policy

For monthly and 3-month subscriptions:
A refund may be requested for the value of unused lessons within the first 7 days from the subscription start date, if the parent does not wish to continue the subscription after initially trying it.

For 6-month and 12-month subscriptions:
A refund may be requested for the value of unused lessons within the first 50 days from the subscription start date.

This refund right applies only to the customer’s first subscription with the Academy.

Refunds apply only to unused lessons.

This right may not be used as a way to delay the start of lessons or keep the subscription unused.

Failure to start lessons or select lesson times does not pause or extend the subscription period, and does not affect the calculation of the refund period.

After the refund period ends, no refund will be provided.

If the Academy cancels a lesson and cannot provide a substitute teacher or a suitable alternative time, the Academy may reschedule the lesson or not deduct it from the student’s lesson balance.

Any complaint regarding lesson quality must be submitted within 24 hours of the lesson time for review.

10. Attendance and Rescheduling

Up to two lessons per month may be rescheduled, provided that the Academy is notified at least 8 hours before the lesson time.

Rescheduling is only available within the same subscription period.

Rescheduling does not extend the subscription period.

Rescheduling depends on teacher availability and available alternative times.

If the same teacher is not available, a substitute teacher or a suitable alternative time may be provided according to availability.

A lesson that has already been rescheduled cannot be rescheduled again.

If the student does not attend a rescheduled lesson, the lesson will be counted as part of the programme and cannot be compensated or rescheduled again.

In case of absence or late cancellation, the lesson will be counted and cannot be compensated or refunded.

11. Freeze Policy

A subscription may be frozen once only every 6 months, for a maximum period of two weeks.

The freeze request must be submitted at least 48 hours before the first lesson to be paused.

Freeze requests cannot be applied retroactively.

The start and end dates of the freeze must be agreed in advance, and the freeze period is counted as one continuous period.

The freeze period cannot be divided into separate periods.

The study schedule will be paused during the freeze period, and the subscription will be extended only by the number of approved freeze days.

Once a freeze request is approved, it cannot be changed or cancelled.

The Academy will aim to maintain the fixed lesson times and teacher during the approved freeze period, up to a maximum of two weeks, where possible.

If a freeze longer than two weeks is requested, or if any additional pause is requested within the same 6-month period, the Academy does not guarantee keeping the same lesson times or the same teacher. Lessons will resume according to the teachers and times available at the time of return.

If a freeze request is not submitted according to the stated conditions, lessons during that period will be counted as part of the programme.

Stopping lessons without activating an official freeze is not considered an official pause, and the Attendance and Rescheduling Policy will apply.

The freeze cannot be used as an alternative to rescheduling or as a way to extend the subscription outside the stated conditions.

12. Trial Lessons

Trial lessons are provided to assess the child’s level and introduce the platform and teaching method.

The trial lesson teacher is assigned by the Academy, and the customer cannot choose the teacher.

The Academy may require completion of a trial lesson before purchasing a subscription.

A trial lesson does not guarantee the availability of the same teacher or the same lesson time after subscription, as this depends on availability and the student’s needs.

13. Teacher Assignment

The Academy assigns teachers based on the student’s learning needs, level, schedule, and teacher availability.

The Academy reserves the right to change the teacher when necessary, such as for availability reasons, quality improvement, or schedule organisation.

The parent or legal guardian will be notified of any appropriate change, and this will not affect the number of lessons or the student’s rights.

14. User and Student Conduct

Respectful behaviour must be maintained during lessons by both the student and the parent or legal guardian.

Any abusive, inappropriate, or disruptive behaviour during the lesson is prohibited.

The services may not be used for any unlawful purpose or for any unauthorised attempt to access the website or platform.

Uploading harmful software or attempting to disrupt the website or services is prohibited.

If inappropriate behaviour is repeated, the Academy has the right to stop the lesson, suspend the account, or terminate the subscription.

15. Prohibited Use of Content

Without written permission from New Grasp Academy, it is strictly prohibited to:

Record lessons.

Take photos or screenshots.

Share any photos or videos of teachers, students, or lesson content.

Publish or distribute any educational or training content owned by the Academy.

Any unauthorised recording or publishing is considered a violation and may result in account suspension, service termination, or legal action where necessary.

16. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process data according to our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you agree to the collection, storage, and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

The parent or legal guardian must provide consent for the collection and processing of children’s data.

Students’ photos or videos are not used for marketing purposes unless parental consent has been obtained through the designated consent form.

17. User Content and Data

Uploading any misleading, unlawful, or harmful content is prohibited.

The Academy has the right to delete any violating content without prior notice.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for the accuracy and validity of any data or documents submitted or uploaded.

18. Intellectual Property

All content on the website, inside lessons, or within educational materials, including text, images, graphics, presentations, files, videos, designs, software, and learning materials, is owned by New Grasp Academy or its licensors.

Copying, distributing, republishing, or using any content for commercial or educational purposes outside the Academy’s services is prohibited without prior written consent.

19. Limitation of Liability

New Grasp Academy is not responsible for:

Any indirect damages resulting from the use of the services.

Technical issues, weak internet connection, or internet disconnection on the student’s side.

Failure of the parent or student to follow schedules or instructions.

Any recordings, photos, or videos taken by parents or students without permission.

Sharing students’ data or photos by parents or external parties.

Although we take reasonable protective measures, absolute security against unauthorised access cannot be guaranteed.

It is the user’s responsibility to review the Terms and policies regularly.

22. Termination

Violation of these Terms or any of the Academy’s policies.

Failure to pay due fees on time.

Abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards teachers, staff, or students.

Unauthorised use of content, or recording or publishing lessons.

Providing incorrect information or using the service fraudulently.

The parent or legal guardian will be notified through the registered contact details when necessary.
